Next year we want to prepare two Concordia teams for the ACM competitions.
We want to start preparations now.
Calling all geeks. We need your help.
If you are a good programmer come over,
if you know someone who is a good programmer bring them close,
if you want to contribute in any way (e.g. you have problems/solutions, experience etc. to share)
The idea is to meet once every 2-3 weeks on a regular basis,
and let us do one problem per meeting,
keep a momentum,
and prepare for the ACM next year.
No day/time will always work for everyone, so
you can show up as often as you want.
Bring a good spirit and positive energy,
Bring chocolates (and some coffee),
your C, C++, Java books and notes,
problems and solutions if you have any.
Even if this could only result in taking someone out of the abysmal boredom of some programming class,
then I think it's worth it.
Note that you don't necessarily have to be a Concordia student to contribute.
If you are a good C/C++/Java programmer and you are willing to help others then you are welcome.
I know that some people are interested.
Shall I go ahead and organize an introductory meeting?
Please tell me how you would like to proceed.
Feel free to forward my post.
Ideas and comments and welcome.
